I'm curious about the popularity of Xubuntu, so I'm curious what other distributions people are running Xfce on.
I know many of the Xfce developers use Lunar Linux. There are also other fine distributions such as Zenwalk, Wolvix, SAM, to name a few. However they don't work for Yours Truly since I require amd64 support for large ram size.
OH NO, HE DIDN'T MENTION SIZE DID HE? Ok, joking. Please no "My 'NIX Box is
Bigger/Better/Faster than yours"
If you happen to be one of the Normies, and by that I mean a Windows (whatever flavor) or Mac OS X user, and are just stopping by, let us know why you stick with the "tried and true" over something a little more homespun...
As indicated I'm a fan of many operating systems and environments, just happens that I've made Xubuntu/Xfce my "home" and I have been searching for one ever since NeXTSTEP. Wow, I was either really young when NeXT Computer started, or now I'm owe dubble ewe elle dee.
Best,
Leo
