NoteCase

NoteCase is a Notes "Manager" that I find invaluable. It has a node-based notes system that is easy to get used to. For me it has replaced Bonsai Outliner from Natara, which was a VERY good application. That says it all, doesn't it? :-)

Best Regards, and have fun with it. Please feel free to add to or start your own discussion threads in the NoteCase group. It is cross platform, just visit http://notecase.sourceforge.net/ to check it out!

Here are the installation instructions for Ubuntu/Xubuntu....

1. Notecase compilation on Ubuntu

- run:

sudo apt-get install make g++ libgtk2.0-dev libgnomevfs2-dev

in a terminal to install packages needed to compile notecase

Next, download and unpack latest notecase sources. Then cd to notecase directory and run:

sudo make install

and the result of running "make" is the "./bin/notecase" application file. As a result of running "make install", the NoteCase application is both built and installed to your system.
To start notecase, either double click on the icon under the Office menu in Xubuntu, or with "notecase" or "/usr/bin/notecase" in the terminal.

On a different distribution of Linux, or on Windows, your mileage may vary. :-)

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I am available at itsanudae at gmail dot com.
